Tai Chi for Health: Core Movements

coretc1In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn an easy, beautiful and traditional routine based on 5 energies of Tai Chi.

This is NOT a TV version: it is a concentrated form that integrates movement, breathing, and intent to create a brilliant routine for daily practice. Tai Chi incorporates Chinese medical principles in a way that allows the player (we say a person “plays Tai Chi”) to actually enhance their health just by performing simple moves in a structured way. Its benefits are too many to list, but players have reported improvement in digestion, sleep, flexibility, arthritic range of motion, energy levels, stability, blood pressure and headache reduction.

Taught by Ted Mancuso and Narrye Caldwell.

Ted is director of the Academy. For more than 40 years, he has been teaching, studying, writing about, exploring, and admiring Tai Chi Chuan. He is passionate about teaching others to experience Tai Chi.

Narrye has been practicing traditional Chinese medicine for over 25 years. She has also studied Tai Chi for more than 20 years, as well as taught it at Five Branches University as a crucial part of the curriculum, since Tai Chi and Chinese health practice are symbiotic.
